CPE has published a very helpful guide to support contractors in the delivery of the Pharmacy First and when to claim.

SPS guides to support use of Patient Group Directions in Community Pharmacy

Understand when and how to use Patient Group Directions (PGDs) for the supply and/or administration of medicines; supporting service delivery and patient care.

SPS Pharmacy First podcast series

Pharmacy colleagues and expert clinicians talk about issues surrounding the new service in community pharmacy and try to debunk some of the clinical myths.

"Pharmacy First Derbyshire" webpage

Community Pharmacy Derbyshire has developed it's own webpage to support patients in access Pharmacy First Services. Patients can access the page at the link below or by scanning the QR code. The webpage explains all about the 7 clinical pathways and provides links to enable patients to find their local pharmacy providing the service. The page will be developed soon to include minor illness, urgent supply, contraception and hypertension case finding services.

CPE has developed a new infographic to support contractors in conversations with General Practice and Sexual Health services regarding the Pharmacy Contraception Service.

Engaging with local MPs

A new animation is now available to help educate politicians on the indispensable role of community pharmacies and the challenges they face.
