A message from our Chair, Ben Eaton: Chris Kerry, Services Implementation Manager

Many of you will know Chris from her time at the PCT, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Area Team, and NHSE Midlands, as well as from the work she has undertaken since retiring from NHSE for Community Pharmacy Derbyshire over the past four years.

Chris’s role has been integral in supporting contractors to establish clinical service provision and in working with general practice to support referrals to community pharmacy under the GP CPCS. This work was enabled by funding provided to the LPC by NHSE to support the local implementation of these processes and procedures.

Following the strategic commissioning changes from NHSE Midlands to ICBs, and the subsequent restructuring announcements, this funding is unfortunately no longer available. As a result, the LPC has had to make the very difficult decision to make this role redundant.

Chris is a highly valued, respected, and much-loved member of both the Operations Team and the Committee, and we would not have achieved the progress we have made in Derbyshire without her hard work, diligence, and passion for community pharmacy.

We would like to thank Chris for her understanding and all the support she has given, and we wish her every success in the future, wherever it may lead.
