We represent all pharmacy contractors in Derbyshire (City and County). Amongst our many roles at present our priority is to ensure that with all the changes in NHS structure, commissioners are aware of community pharmacy and the services we can provide. Our Chief Officer, Chair, Operation’s Team and committee members attend various meetings to promote our profession across the system.

Fit for the Future: 10 Year Health Plan for England published

The highly anticipated 10-Year Health Plan sets out the Government’s priorities for healthcare in this Parliament and the next. For community pharmacy, the plan outlines an increasing role in the management of long-term conditions and delivery of vaccinations. It also commits to modernisation of dispensing and working to integrate community pharmacy into the Single Patient Record system which will be developed by the NHS.

CPE Emergency contraception and the PCS on-demand webinar

The on-demand version of the webinar and materials from the webinar which took place on the 9th October 2025 is now available.

Derby & Derbyshire ICB Oral Contraception Campaign 2025

Derby & Derbyshire ICB, in conjunction with Community Pharmacy Derbyshire, has launched their Oral Contraception Campaign, to coincide with students starting and returning to college and university in September. This campaign aims to increase use of the community pharmacy oral contraception service. To support the campaign, the ICB has developed a toolkit of resources and messaging for pharmacies and other stakeholders to use.

"Pharmacy First Derbyshire" webpage

Community Pharmacy Derbyshire has developed it's own webpage to support patients in access Pharmacy First Services. Patients can access the page at the link below or by scanning the QR code. The webpage explains all about the 7 clinical pathways and provides links to enable patients to find their local pharmacy providing the service. The page will be developed soon to include minor illness, urgent supply, contraception and hypertension case finding services.

Engaging with local MPs

CPE has updated its MP visit guidance to help LPCs and pharmacy owners plan and prepare for pharmacy visits and secure local media coverage afterwards. The updated materials include key messages and template resources.
